BEWARE OF 419- JEGEDE FAMILY WARNS BUYERS OF EBUTE METTA HOUSE

The Jegede family have warned prospective buyers of their house at 53, Jebba street, Ebute-Metta East, Lagos Mainland, to beware of falling into the wrong hands, as the property is not for sale.
According to the family, the house originally belonged to their grandmother, Kehinde Sinatu Jinadu, before she passed it on to their late mother, Sade Jinadu.
However, upon their mother’s death, the property was inherited by the children: Pekun, Deji, Lekan, and Lawunmi Jegede. According to the family, their initial plan was to give the house to a developer, before they learnt that one of their siblings, Lawunmi Jegede, was attempting to sell the house with fake documents.
Lawunmi had allegedly already gotten buyers who asked for the Certificate of Occupancy (CofO), of the house after they had paid. But when they didn’t get the CofO, they collected their money back. Lawunmi was so smooth in his operation that even the people staying in the house including Pekun’s wife, Risi, did not know that such a thing was going on.
Meanwhile, Lawunmi could not be reached for comments as his whereabouts
