The leader of INRI Evangelical spiritual church, Primate Elijah Ayodele has declared a global fasting for three days to reduce the strength of Covid-19.
He said this declaration was made after he consulted God on how to curb the spread of Covid-19 and how to make it a thing of the past.
He said God spoke to him that everyone, including the government should go on fasting for three days, starting from Wednesday, 15th of April to Friday, 17th Of April, 2020, to reduce the strength of Corona Virus.
He stated that although the government have tried in giving food and other relief materials to people, there is need to work on a lasting solution that will benefit all man kind
‘The government have started sharing food and giving relief materials to the people because of Corona Virus but the food and all other things will finish soon. If care isn’t taken, the government will also run out of resources, there won’t be ways to buy food again and serious hunger will set in, and that is a worse virus that Covid-19.
Spiritually, we should combat this by embarking on a three-day fasting and prayer at the global level, there is nothing prayer cannot solve, God is the answer to this pandemic’.
Furthermore, the man of God advised the government to relax the lockdown order because it is causing more havoc in the country. He made it known that a curfew will be better, in order to allow people work for money and buy and other materials for themselves.
It is worth of being noted that in some parts of Lagos and Ogun state, armed robbery has been the order of the day. The populace of such areas find it difficult to sleep at night because of robbery activities. When asked, most of them attributed the cause of this to the total lockdown order by the government.
