Gentlemen of the press, you are once again welcome to the Police Headquarter for another press conference. I thank you for the synergy and collaboration.
It would be recalled that on 7th April, 2020, the police Command address the press on an information that was termed as at then, "Credible". Consequently, I informed the good people of the state that a house in Unguwar Dallatu bayan Tasha area has become a shrine where all such evils existed. In that press briefing, we went ahead to tell the press that two (2) Suspects engaged into incantations took to flight and escaped as soon as the police patrol team arrived. We also outlined and displayed to the press some exhibits that were suggestive of certain evil plans are going on in the house. I promised that in no time, we shall investigate, fish out and prosecute the culprit. In its desire to ensure Justice and fair play, many people were arrested, some were invited and interrogated. At the end of the day, our findings could not link any of the people arrested or invited to the commission of the offence.
This is after, we have painstakingly got some expert advise on the purpose of the exhibits recovered and advise offered appropriately. Not only that, some exhibits that required labrotory analysis like the blood were also taken to the lab technician in Federal Medical Center Gusau where the report confirmed the blood to be that of human being and was sum up to be "O" negative.
However, on 6th July, 2020, the case took another dimension. The informant whose identity was hidden then, turned out to have carefully planned and execute his own mission in order to achieve predetermined agenda.
Investigation has revealed that, Nasiru Garba A. K. A. "MO" has some grugges to settle with some highly placed government officials in the state.In achieving that, he lured Mustapha Abdullahi "M" and Hassan Garba who were initially not informed of the purpose to which some of these exhibits are being sort. They were used to secure the pot, the Calabash, blood and were even used to take the cloth which is part of the exhibits to a tailor. Police were able to get evidence from those who innocently sold the pot, sow the cloth and even the blood from abattoir. Not only that, even the tsangaya school where he took the ink and write all the Arabic inscription on those items were also sort and obtained.
