APC Picks Date To Determine Pepperito's Replacement

The Lagos Chapter of the All Progressive Congress, APC has reacted to insinuations that the Party has unanimously picked a senatorial candidate to replace the seat of late Senator, Sikiru Adebayo Osinowo. This is coming after former commissioner in Lagos, Tokunbo Abiru resigned from a prominent Nigerian Bank to pick up a nomination form for the senatorial race.

In a press statement released by Hon. Oluseye Oladejo the Publicity Secretary, it was revealed that the party has not picked a candidate for the highly revered senatorial seat and implored Lagosians to ignore any gesture that suggests otherwise.

The statement reads;
“The party has not picked any candidate for the forthcoming bye-elections. It is not until Thursday when the primary will be conducted that the candidates for the Lagos East Senatorial District and Kosofe 2 constituency will be determined.

“Lagosians should disregard any speculation or rumors making the rounds that the party already has picked Mr. Tokunbo Abiru as the party’s consensus candidate for the senatorial election.”

He urged Lagosians to tarry until Thursday, September 3, 2020 when the party primary elections will be conducted for the Lagos East Senatorial District and Kosofe 2 constituency.
