LAGOS BYE-ELECTION INEC ASSURES RESIDENTS OF A FREE AND FAIR ELECTION

  



In preparation for Saturday 5th December 2020 Lagos East senatorial district and Kosofe constituency II bye election, the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC Lagos State organized a media briefing on their preparedness for the bye election. 

The Resident Electoral Commissioner INEC Lagos State Sam Olumekun said the Senatorial district election is holding in 5 local government of the state,70 registration centres area,1,343,448 registered voters,he also said Somolu will serve as the collation centre for the Senate while comprehensive high school Alapere will serve as collation centre for kosofe II constituency state election. 

The Independent National Electoral Commission National Commissioner supervising Southwest Adekunle Ogunmola while interacting with the Media on the preparation of Inec in Tomorrow's bye-election said Inec has collaborated with security agencies to have a free,fair and credible election. 

He said INEC is fully prepared for the bye-election and state bye election and they are collaborating with the Media to let Nigerian know what Inec stands for.

INEC further assured voters in Lagos East senatorial district and Kosofe constituency  II that their security is assured and to also Adhere to covid 19 protocols.
