Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Enforcement Agency ( LSGESC) has been accused of carrying out illegal operations. They were seen tolling heavy trucks along Lagos/Badagry expressway.
The taskforce also damaged one heavy-duty 40ft containerized truck loaded on export while several trucks tolled to Odo Iyalaro, Ojota, Old dumping site, Lagos.
According to information FLY, CABLE NEWS gathered, that the trucks are on export to their various destinations wee hours of today at Lagos/Badagry Expressway along Mile 2.
The truck driver who in a short clip video available to FLY CABLE NEWS that the Lagos state government did not send LSGESC to toll export duty trucks but cleared and abandoned heavy trucks on the highway obstructing the traffic and ease of vehicular movement.This is an illegal job and thanks to God the operation carried out the wee hours if not many lives have been lost due to the reckless driving of tolling vehicles.
In the same development, Mr. Tunde Amusa of LACASERA Staff, who shares his experience on the phone said on Wednesday the task force came unnoticed and started toll-off their trucks already loaded for delivering without being parked discriminately alleging them for violation of traffic rules and that have they have caused environmental pollution This is envident at the adjacent of LACASERA junction which is opposite Fagbems Filling Station, Apapa/Oshodi Expressway.
As at the time of filing this report, calls were put forward and a message sent to the Taskforce spokesman but no response
