Suberu Oni was a popular JuJu Musician of high repute from Ondo State. He was a member of Oladokun Akintelure Band.
When in 1954 Oladokun died Oni took over the leadership of his band and changed the name to Suberu Oni and the Why Worry Orchestra.
Suberu's music is very melodic with beautiful guitar rhythm that effectively sets up his style of music. He translates his songs with ease with lovely poetic portrait.
To his credits he will be remembered for popular compositions like Alafia La Wa, Awolowo Sorry, Ogunde Ti Goke Agba, Iwe Ori, Ojo Nla Lojo Na, Ore Aiye
