Event Safety Summit is collaboration of event and hospitality professionals comprising of 8 associations within Nigeria representing special Event planners,producers,Caterers, Decorators,and everyone involved in the event planning sector to hold its first of its kind Summit in Lagos.
The objectives of the event is to educate professionals in the event industry on the Safety protocols of operating during pandemic and to enable event industry professionals to network with one another.
Speaking at the event the Director General Lagos State Safety Commission Mr Lawrence Mojola said the commission is curbing the spread of Covid-19 in social gathering across the state,also commended the organisers of the summit for putting together the event in a time like this.
The Lagos State Commissioner of tourism Mrs Uzamat Akinbile,who was represented by the Permanent Secretary Princess Adedoyin Ajayi said lagos state ministry of tourism will continue to partner with the event planners to achieve a greater Lagos.
The President of the Association of Professional party organizers and event managers of Nigeria Mrs Adefunke Kuyoro stressed on the need for food vendors can be keeping their food on a normal temperatures,she also said going forward they will organize a townhall meeting with stakeholders to discuss on the best way of making things work.
Susan Ajibade a participant expressed his excitement saying that the event is very educating and impactful especially in food safety,which she also commended the organisers and they are expecting more of the summit.
The panelist after deliberations came to a conclusion that their must be teamwork and collaboration for event planners and vendors to achieve a free flow events.
The event has over 300 attendees both virtually and physically.
