My attention has once again been drawn to an article titled "DON'T DRAG REDEEMED CHURCH INTO POLITICS, GROUP WARNS PASTOR ADEBOYE AND OSIBAJO" now trending on the social media and in the rotten minds of the members of a group which describe itself as APAPA LIBERATION TEAM.
I will not have wasted precious time trying to respond to the contents of the article by the so-called group if not for the attempt it made towards dragging my highly respected Spiritual Fathers, Daddy Adeboye and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo into the ravaging political situation in Apapa Local Government Council.
I make bold to say that the two topmost Clergymen remain my Spiritual Fathers and Leaders, and at no time have they attempted to get involved in the political imbroglio in which we have found ourselves. Daddy Adeboye have been too busy with harvesting souls for Christ, and the Vice President has a lot on his hands in terms of co-running the daily business of our great Nation.
On the allegation that I donate #5m monthly to the Redeemed Christian Church of God, I state that this is another lie from the pit of hell. It is only those that are not conversant with the workings of my administration that will fly such a senseless accusation. May I make it clear that the Redeemed Christian Church of God is a highly disciplined institution that depends purely on the goodwill of her members for financial survival, and does not accept donations from questionable sources, hence it is laughable that some uninformed souls are coming up with this allegation.
Somewhere in another published article by APAPA LIBERATION TEAM, it was alleged that I collected #70m from a Contractor. This is another figment of their corroded imagination. I therefore challenge the so-called APAPA LIBERATION TEAM to find enough courage to come up with any documentary evidence at its disposal, if it has any, to prove these malicious allegations it has circulated against my person far and wide.
I wish to state here that in terms of service delivery to the masses, I am one of the first 5 Performing Council Chairmen in Lagos State, and so cannot be accused of having shortchanged my people. It is also on record that despite the chaotic traffic situation in Apapa and the effect of the COVID-19 on businesses and governance, I was able to turn around the finances of my Local Government Council, to the extent that I delivered on all fronts.
On the whole, I see APAPA LIBERATION TEAM and the brains behind it as people of confused mindsets, who were only 'purchased' for a hatchet job. In one breath, they alleged that I am heading to Accord Party, in another, I am alleged to be sponsoring a candidate on the platform of PDP.
Once again, I appeal to all my supporters, friends and well wishers to please keep calm and maintain absolute peace in the interest of our great party - APC.
