I DECAMPED SO THE KILLING IN MY STATE WILL STOP- Governor of Zamfara

In this exclusive interview held at Government house Gusau, a day after his official defection to the All Progressives Congress, Governor Bello Matawalle of Zamfara State addressed all the lingering questions regarding his defection from the PDP to APC.

In this one on one interview with the People's Journalist, Chief Osasu Igbinedion, the Host of The Osasu Show on TOS TV NETWORK, the state Governor addressed the real reason he defected from the PDP to APC. He said "I decided to change (political parties) so that I can bring peace to my state." When the journalist pressed further, he opened up by stating "now that we all belong to the ruling party I now have the full backing of the federal government to fight insecurity."

He advised his colleagues in the PDP to defect to the APC so that peace can be restored to their states. The Governor also used the medium to warn the Chairman of the People's Democratic Party, Uche Secondus, he said he will not be intimated by threats to take him to court for his decision to defect.

"He should know I'm not a small boy, I don't succumb to that type of intimidation. He should know I'm a fighter. Even when I was in the Courts they (PDP) didn't give me any support. They should know they are fighting someone who is strong and they can't do anything."

"They should go and read the constitution, they are ignorant of the law. I'm not the type of person they can intimidate."

He further stated that other members of the PDP defected from other parties particularly the incumbent Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki who defected from the APC to PDP and during Goodluck Jonathan's administration, Former Senate President and Kwara State Governor Dr. Bukola Saraki and many others.

When asked how about his Deputy Governor's decision to remain in the PDP, he responded "there is no cause for alarm, he can stay where he wants, I'm going to work with him, he is my junior brother." Read more www.tostvnetwork.com
