Prince Lanre Sanusi has won the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket for the Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency. Likewise Hon Folorunso Olusegun won the APC ticket to represent the people Amuwo Odofin Constituency 1 at the Lagos State House of Assembly.
The primary was held on Friday, May 27, 2022 at Crystal Sapphire, Alakija Satellite Town, Amuwo Odofin, Lagos.
Sanusi defeated the current Council Chairman of Orilade Council Development Area, Hon Ramota Hassan.
Also, Hon. Olusegun defeated the incumbent Lawmaker representing Amuwo Odofin Constituency 1 at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon Mojisola Alli-Macaulay, popularly known as Mama Amuwo.
The Chairman of the Primary Election Committee for the Constituency, Omoba Falade Akin, announcing the result, said Sanusi scored 38 votes to defeat the incumbent Chairman of Oriade LCDA, Hassan with 7 votes.
While Olusegun scored 12 votes, the present Lawmaker, Ali Macaulay scored 4 votes.
The two aspirants with the highest scores were declared winners and were handed the election results to sign.
Ola Western assured the delegates, Party stakeholders and faithful his commitment to a people-centered representation when he finally wins in the general election.
In the same development, the Lawmaker representing Amuwo Odofin constituency 11 at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon Rauf Age Suleiman retained his seat as he had 31 votes to defeat Jamiu Apanisile who had 4 votes.
