In this interview the man of God said nothing is wrong with The decision of the ruling Party, APC to feature a Muslims candidate, he said what we need is competency,
What is your take on the Muslim-Muslim ticket of the APC that has generated lots of Political confusion/brouhaha from the opposition party and within concerns Nigerians?
Infact I did not see any cause for alert on the decision of APC, mind you am not a politician and am not planning to be one, I'm a Man of God, but the decision of the APC is not the Problem, Nigerian problem is beyond that, we need who can transform the country for better, Both Christians and Muslims are one, we are brothers and sister, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senator shettima are one, they have been tested and trusted, they have what it takes to lead the country, though am not campaigning for them but we need who have wisdom to transform the country
With this development, what did you think are the role of the Churches in this project of National re conciliation ?
Yes God has given us the power and wisdom to pray to mediate and ensure that peace rain in the country, we as religion leaders have a lot of work to do and correct the wrong perceptions, we must ensure we teach and preach the truth at all times, because many of those Politicians looks unto us as clergy/clerics for proper and political direction, but immediately we misled them due to some of our Pastors and prophet's selfish interest, some of the result is what we are seeing/facing as Political havocs in our land today, Our Religion leaders must be truthfully and shun want we can gain, ours is to continue to pray untill we restore the lost glory of this Nation
You mention some Men of God are not truthful, are you saying the body of Christian's like CAN and the rest are not performing their responsibility?
No, we have some of our religion leaders who is determined to pray for the survival of the country in spite or whatever conditions, without mincing words, I belong to this category, I Prophet Isreal Ogundipe is not after compensation from any one or government to say the truth or Pray whenever the needs arises but I will stand for the truth,
We have seen so many time, various professional bodies goes to Aso Rock to give Mr President their words on important issue, I think this is the time for all Christians bodies to also visit Mr President to tell him what God reveals to many of us, but the reverse is the case, we need more of our Christian's leaders advise now for a better sustainable economy
You specifically Mentioned Asiwaju Tinubu and Senator shettima as best candidate, as a Christian are you not seeing it as not too good ticket for the Christians?
By the Grace of God, I Prophet Isreal Oladele Ogundipe was born into a Muslim family, all my background was a Muslim, I will say this and say it again, either you are a Muslim or a Christian we are one, the same God created everyone, we must learn to leave together as brothers and sister, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a man of everybody, I have never hear or read where he discriminate likewise all I have read and heard about Senator Shettima, what Asiwaju did in Lagos within his tenure as the Executive Govenor of the state clearly give him the expected passmark to lead the country, am not seeing the Muslim Muslim ticket as any problem, mind you, this same Man married a pastor as wife, an ordained Redeem Pastor for that matter, Nigeria problem is beyond religion difference but we need someone who will ensure unity among all the ethics and religions groups in the country
2023 General Election is around the corner, what are your advice to Nigerians Particularly on how to.make there own vote count?
I have continue to advice Nigerians Particularly my members to ensure that they register and get there voter card ready, thanks to the federal government for the extension of the PVC registration, with your PVC you will not be denied the opportunity to decide and vote for your prefer candidate, my candid advise to Nigerians is still, go out and registered for your PVC ,so you can be eligible to vote the right candidate to lead us come 2023, We as spiritual leader will continue to support the process with prayers, even fasting to seek the Divine fast of God against any conspiracy to the success of the whole political transition....
