Special Islamic prayers (Firdau) have been held for the late Hon.Olayiwola Abdul-Sobur Olawale (Omititi), the member representing Mushin Constituency II in the Lagos House of Assembly.
He died on Tuesday 15th of November 2022 at the APC presidential campaign flag-off in Jos, aged 58. He was buried according to Islamic rites the next day at the Ikoyi Vaults in Lagos. The fidau prayers held at Kensington Adebutu Event Hall , Abeokuta Sports Club, Oke -Ilewo Abeokuta .Ogun-State yesterday, Wednesday, November 23, 2022.The event (held at the lawmaker's hometown) was put together by members of the Lagos State House of Assembly and was attended by dignitaries from far and near. Colleagues of the late lawmaker from the Lagos Assembly were led to the event by the Speaker, Hon. Mudashiru Obasa.
Wife of the Lagos State Governor, Mrs, Ibijoke Sanwoolu and the Speaker's wife, Mrs Falilat Obasa were also among the guest that attended the event. The wife of the deceased ,
Alhaja Shakirat Abosede Olawale and her 3 beautiful daughters were also present - as well as Rt.Hon. Oluomo Olakunle Taiwo, the Speaker of Ogun State House of Assembly.
The prayers were led and coordinated by Islamic clerics both from Ogun and Lagos States. Members of Nawair-ud-deen Grammar School Old Students Association Abeokuta (NUDGOSA) that had the late lawmaker as the National President (umtill his death), were also visible at the event.
