January 1966 began with series of events that would be misinterpreted; which eventually led Nigeria into a bitter civil war. By July, the war had been fully activated by bitterness and thirst for revenge leading to an estimated 3 to 4 million death of Nigerians. The war ended in 1970 with the 3Rs and no victor no vanquish policies.
52 years after our civil war, vengeful spirits are still being fanned by politicians through political communications in their attempts to take advantage of religious and tribal demography.
We seem to be walking towards another civil war!
Is redemption for this perditious trip possible?
Rwanda had an experience as close as 1994; by 1998 they told their story in the movie 100 days, changed the narratives and became resolute, saying never again!
We have seen Rwanda led by ONE MAN; Paul Kagame taking their walk steadily away from issues that led to their war in 1994!
Are we cursed with leaders running races towards issues that divided us and led to war in the guise of playing politics?
Is there any lesson we can learn from Rwanda and her ONE MAN; Paul Kagame that may assist us at deciding who the Nigeria ONE MAN should be?
Political integration is the only way to building a united country with over 400 ethnic nationalities.
ART can be a moment of decision to walk away from war and build this nation together.
