A nation bound with love and freedom peace and unity NIGERIA is no doubt blessed with numerous resources both natural and human.
It was heartwarming as the people of Ago-Egun a shanty in the middle of hamlets surrounded by flowing river right in the heart of Makoko welcomed not fewer than 30 creative individuals from various works of life showcasing undiluted love and dedication as facilitators for the just concluded "PEACE IN NIGERIA " theme for 2023 independence anniversary organised by Cr8tivehand.
It is not new that the country in recent times was faced with challenges ranging from terrorism and banditry, economic quagmire and political phantasmagoria. The theme was birthed to enunciate the importance of oneness, show of platonic love and true petriotism.
Residence were sprouting from every conner to witness the expendable creativity their wards would be exhibiting. Behold, it was a wow. Kids from cradle to adolescents amounting to about 500 exceeding our primary target of 200 participants were all gather to celebrate our beloved country.
Indeed happiness is free. This phenomenon was exhibited from both facilitators and participants who are full of vibe and energy from start to finish.
Our sincere appreciation goes to God Almighty for making this laudable initiative a success and for blessing us with philanthropist and we'll meaning Nigerians who donated in kind and mind and to our host Miss Adeola Adepoju, founder Hope and Care for the Slum Child Initiative for giving us a soft landing.
However it is imperative that for every outreach or any other relative activities carried out by voluntary organisations must pave way to solutions to challenges observed. Along the line several observations were made for example; multiple child birth, water pollution "open defecation on water" and "lack of proper dirt disposal", more of teenage mothers and low quality education among others.
Recently it was recalled that the newly appointed Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Betta Edu, flagged off verification exercise of the National Social Register (NSR) in some communities in Lagos State which include Oko Agbon, Adogbo, Migbewhe, Makoko, Sogunro and Apollo respectively.
In line with the objective of Humanitarian organisation such as Cr8tivehand, Hope and Care for the Slum Child Initiative among many others is to identify and profer last solutions in other to avert repetition of government intervention.
