In continuation of his infrastructural strides within the local government and his fulfillment of electoral promise, the executive chairman of Oshodi-Isolo local government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede is set to commence renovation works in St. Paul Primary School, Mafoluku Oshodi.
The intention of the council chairman which was disclosed via a press release by his media office described the current situation of the school buildings as "deplorable and in need of urgent government intervention."
The council honcho regretted that the pupils of the local government are learning in an environment which he described as unacceptable.
In order to enable the future leaders to learn in a conductive atmosphere, he is set to embark on massive renovation of the two blocks of 5 classrooms housing the school.
In addition to the renovations, he will also be providing educational materials to aid smooth teaching and learning by the teachers and their pupils.
It should be recalled that the council chairman recently supervised the distribution of school bags, exercise books and other writing materials to the pupils of public primary schools within the local government, donated by his administration.
He said; "The current situation in which the pupils of St. Paul Primary School are learning is totally unacceptable. The buildings are dilapidated and in a deplorable condition. We are set to embark on the renovations and provide our future leaders a conductive environment to learn their studies.
This is in line with the determination of our administration to promote quality education within our community. After the renovation of the buildings, we shall also be providing needed educational materials to support the teachers and their pupils."
The Oshodi-Isolo Local government chair however assured residents of the local government of unrelenting efforts of the local government towards reaching all the nooks and crannies of the local government in provision of infrastructures.
