MaryGold is under scrutiny for her attempt to break the Guinness World Record with her 100-hour TV talk show.

 




In Lagos, Nigeria, Mariam Amuda, often known as MaryGold, a media practitioner, has wrapped up her plans to smash the Guinness World Record with an uninterrupted 100-hour talk show on television.

During a press conference on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, Amuda, also known as MaryGold, stated that the historic effort will take place in Lagos from December 16 to 20 of that same year.


Amuda stated that she started the preparation for the TV Marathon Talk Show six months ago.

She also told Newsmen that The Guinness World Record acknowledged the receipt of her application in October 2023 and sent an approval notice to her.

Continuing, she said: “I want to put the Media industry on the Global space, particularly, the Nigerian media industry”.

MaryGold intends to interview One Hundred (100) Guests across different sectors of the economy. Each Guest would be featured for One hour on the Talk Show.

The 100-Hour TV Marathon Talk Show will be held at 1, Taiwo Adekunle Street off Coker Street, Ogba, Lagos, Nigeria. It will also be aired Live on Startime Channel 427, Nigezie Xtreme, Facebook Live, Instagram and other social media Platforms.

According to the Organisers, The Talk Show promises to be Inspiring, Entertaining and Educative.

Presently, the longest Marathon Television Talk Show is 73 Hours 23 Minutes. It was hosted by Boris Tomašič in Ljubljana, Slovenia, from 24th to 27th September, 2023 on  NOVA24TV, Slovenia.
