My experience with Decagon Training Institute located in Orchid Road, Lekki Lagos, has been nothing short of a disappointment. Despite the enticing promises made by Decagon, my time with them fell far below my expectations, leaving me thoroughly dissatisfied and frustrated. I feel compelled to caution anyone considering joining this program to think twice before committing.

One of the major issues I encountered was the glaring discrepancy between the promised benefits and the actual delivery. During the initial stages, we were given the impression that the guarantor cheque would undergo meticulous review, and the financial documents we signed outlined a total arrangement value of 3.5 million naira, including an interest of ₦500,000, amounting to a cumulative sum of ₦4,000,000. However, this turned out to be a misleading explanation, as the actual terms and conditions differed significantly from what we were initially presented. To my surprise, we were now required to provide a staggering 5.2 million naira over a four-year period. This lack of transparency was disheartening and raised serious the enticing promises made by Decagon, my time with them fell far below my expectations, leaving me thoroughly dissatisfied and frustrated. Furthermore, my time at Decagon was marred by an unfortunate incident. Shortly after entering the academy on November 1st, 2023, my room was burgled, resulting in the loss of valuable possessions such as my laptop, money, and phone. Despite promptly reporting the incident to both the nearby police station and the management, I received no satisfactory resolution or compensation. Even as I write this review, the callous manner in which my case was handled continues to leave me deeply saddened and frustrated, considering the emotional toll and financial burden it placed on me.

This incident shed light on the inadequate security measures in place at Decagon, leaving me feeling vulnerable and unsafe throughout my entire time at the institute. It is disconcerting that such an organization, which claims to provide a conducive learning environment, fails to prioritize the safety and well-being of its students.

Moreover, the quality of the training offered by Decagon did not justify the exorbitant cost. Given the total indebtedness of ₦5,200,000 over a four-year period of repayment arrangements with Cafe one with Sterling Bank which is now called The Alternative Bank, I expected a training program and materials that were truly worth the investment. However, upon closer examination, it became clear that much of the content and resources provided could easily be found online for a fraction of the program's cost. This realization left me disheartened, as it felt like I had been deceived into paying a premium for resources that were readily available elsewhere at a significantly lower price.

To compound my disillusionment, my guarantor, who had tragically lost his wife and newborn child during delivery, was unable to provide the support they had initially pledged by issuing me another cheque. This shattered my trust and left me feeling utterly betrayed. Decagon's broken promises directly impacted my personal life and financial well-being, exacerbating the emotional distress caused by the unfortunate incident.

Based on my personal experience, I strongly advise against engaging in this kind of program. Decagon Training Institute failed to deliver on their promises, and their training and resources proved to be subpar and lacking in value. The organization's disregard for security concerns and their mishandling of incidents only added to my profound disappointment. I implore you to spare yourself the heartache and explore alternative avenues that offer better value, transparency, and support.
