The President, Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Otuekong Bonny Nyong spoke with fellow sport writers of Nigeria members covering the ongoing AFCON championship in Ivory Coast days before the quater final match against Angola.
In an Online meeting that was conveyed by the Secretary of Lagos Chapter of SWAN, Bello Omotunde, who is onground and really can testify to all the ups and downs being witnessed by members in Abidjan.
Otuekong Nyong encouraged all members of Nigerian sports journalists in Abidjan to be good citizens of the country.
He also assured them that the association is doing its best to find succor to the challenges facing by the members in Abidjan.
He commended the members of the association for their resilience and promised them that the national body is always with them, adding that SWAN understands their plight at the AFCON, and it will leave nothing to chance to ensure that succour is provided for them before the Nations Cup ended.
