Southern Beaufort County (WSAV) A woman is being held for murder while a close-knit Lowcountry town struggles with the loss of its leader.
Around 2:45 p.m. on Monday, there was a stabbing at the Oyotunji African Village, which is situated on Bryant Lane in Sheldon, according to the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office (BCSO).
According to the BCSO, Beaufort County EMS identified Oba Adefunmi II and drove him to a nearby hospital. The 47-year-old's injuries caused him to pass away.
In the Love Street shooting, the SPD makes arrests. Deputies detained 53-year-old Akiba Kasale Meredith as she was making her way to the scene of the incident following a brief search.
Meredith is being held at the Beaufort County Detention Center on a murder accusation.
