The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Europe region, in collaboration with the Nigerian Embassy in Madrid, Spain, is hosting a symposium to commemorate the council's 61st anniversary.
The event will take place on August 23, 2025, from 12 noon to 6 pm at the Intercontinental Hotel Madrid, Spain.
The symposium's theme is "YOUTH LEADERSHIP AND DIASPORA RESPONSIBILITY IN A CHANGING WORLD." The event aims to bring together young leaders and stakeholders to discuss the role of youth in shaping the future of Nigeria and the world.
The symposium will feature distinguished guests, including:
- Honourable Comrade Asefon Sunday Dayo, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Student Engagement
- Mrs. Binta A. Dala, Nigerian Ambassador to Spain
- Ambassador Sukubo Sara-Igbe Sukubo, NYCN President
- Dr. Mrs. Loretta Oduware Ogboro-Oko, Director-General of the Edo State Diaspora Agency, who will serve as the guest speaker
- Mr. Ayotunde Adigun, Head of Immigration at the Nigerian Embassy in Spain
The event is being hosted by Ambassador Collins Idahosa, Governor of NYCN Europe Region, and Honourable Ambassador Emmanuel I. Ani, NYCN Spain chapter. The symposium is also co-hosted by NYCN ambassadors in all European countries.
The symposium is an opportunity to celebrate 61 years of building together and look forward to many more impactful years. As the NYCN motto goes, "NYCN, Build the Youth, Build the Nation," the event aims to empower young leaders and promote national development.
