In recent months, a coordinated network of falsehood has been unleashed against the Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries (MFM). Today, we break our silence to expose this malicious campaign of disinformation that has been actively propagated for nearly two years.
Certain outlets and individuals - notably Sahara Reporters, Yorubagidi, Maureen Badejo, Realadunni, and columnist Funke Ashekun - have recently resurrected and deliberately twisted a 18-year-old criminal case. Their modern-day fabrication seeks to pin the sins of one rogue individual on a global ministry built on faith and holiness.
THE TRUTH VS. THEIR RECENT FABRICATIONS:
1. The "Pastor" Was Always a Criminal Imposter: Femi Jimoh was never a genuine pastor but a fraudster who temporarily exploited the church's cover. He was a wolf in sheep's clothing, and MFM was his victim - not his accomplice.
2. The Timeline Deception: These platforms have recently invented a "2017 Robbery" timeline. Why? Because fabricating a recent falsehood generates more clicks than acknowledging the truth about a 2007 case that was properly resolved years ago. This is deliberate date manipulation.
3. The Company They Keep: We must question the credibility of those behind this recent smear campaign. Funke Ashekun's association with exposed individuals including Wale Michael Akpeji (aka Focus Mikky) - whom she publicly denounced for scamming her of ₦8,000,000 , three armed robbers names Femi Jimoh , Caleb Oloruntele and Henry Aiyewero, the questionable character of those driving this narrative. These charlatans are the same people she has packaged as witnesses against the church in the case she is facing in the US, including the ungrateful Richard Ayotunde.These same individuals now present themselves as truth-tellers shows their desperation.
4. MFM Was the Victim Then, and is the Victim Now: In 2007, our internal systems exposed Jimoh's plot and we immediately involved the Sabo Police Division, ensuring his arrest. Today, we are again victims - of character assassination and media terrorism.
This recent campaign - though less than two years old - follows the ancient pattern of the Sadducees and Pharisees against Jesus: a desperate alliance of convenience united by their hatred for truth. But just as that conspiracy failed, so shall this one.
We stand firm in our mission and call on all truth-loving Nigerians to recognize this modern-day conspiracy for what it is: a coordinated attack by compromised media outlets and discredited individuals.
