The Federal Character Commission (FCC) is set to launch a significantly improved website on April 21, 2026, as part of activities marking the first three months of the 5th Commission, the Executive Chairman, Hon. Hulayat Motunrayo Omidiran, has announced.
The announcement was made on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, during plenary of the 5th Commission at the FCC Headquarters in Abuja, where the Executive Chairman reiterated the Commission’s renewed focus on digital transformation, transparency, and enhanced public engagement in line with its constitutional mandate.
“This initiative is a major step towards strengthening transparency and accountability in public service. The whistleblowing portal will enable citizens to report infractions, with prompt response time,” Hon. Omidiran said.
According to her, the new website will feature integrated digital portals designed to provide interactive and accessible information on the activities of the Commission, as well as Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).
Hon. Omidiran explained that the platform will serve as a central hub for public accountability, particularly through a whistleblowing mechanism aimed at curbing job racketeering and other irregularities in recruitment and appointment processes.
“Our goal is to build a user-friendly, accessible, and responsive digital platform that empowers Nigerians with real-time information on government activities and opportunities, while reinforcing trust in public institutions,” she added.
In same vein, the Executive Chairman inaugurated a 15-member committee to organize activities marking the Commission’s three-month anniversary, during which the official launch of the website will take place.
