Sam Egube Holds Inaugural Meeting of Lagos APC Ethnic Nationality Sub-Committee

Sam Egube to lead BAT-KOH Non-Indigene Campaign Drive in Lagos

Lagos State Deputy Chief of Staff, Engr. Sam Egube, recently chaired the inaugural meeting of the All

Progressives Congress (APC) Contact and Mobilization Sub-Committee on Ethnic Nationality.

This is the first time the Lagos APC has constituted a dedicated sub-committee for ethnic nationality

engagement within its campaign structure. The move gives the team formal responsibility to engage

non-indigenous residents and ethnic nationality groups as the party campaigns for President Bola Ahmed

Tinubu, governorship candidate Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, and its other candidates in the 2027 general

elections.

As Head of the sub-committee, Egube will coordinate its members across the ethnic nationality

groupings, guide engagement with community leaders and associations, and report relevant issues and

progress to the wider campaign. The team’s responsibilities include building relationships with

community associations, organising meetings, engaging voters in multiple languages, and hearing

community-specific concerns.

“This assignment calls for more than bringing people into a room,” Egube said. “For the first time, our

campaign has a dedicated sub-committee to bring this work together. We need to listen carefully, build

relationships with community leaders and associations, and understand the issues people want us to

address. By doing that work well, we can play our part in securing victory for President Bola Ahmed

Tinubu, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat and other APC candidates in 2027.”Our inaugural meeting is the beginning

of that work, and I look forward to working with every member of the sub-committee.”

The Arewa members of the sub-committee are Alhaji Sampam Shehu Usman, Alhaji Saadu Yusuf, Ms.

Aisha Sanni Kachiako, Mr. Jida Sayid, Mr. Ibrahim Tanko Auna, and Mr. Ibrahim Suleiman.

Its South-South members are Otunba Engr. Isaac Emiyede, Mr. Awila Banigo Williams, and Napoleon.

The Nupe members are Hon. Muhammad Kpatako and Mr. Mohammed Kudu. The Ndigbo members are

Former Lagos State Special Adviser, Mr. Joe Igbokwe, Chief Uche Okpotemba, Chief Uche Ubochi,

Chief Anselem, and Ms. Ngozi Chinwiko.

Before his appointment as Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Egube served as

Lagos State Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget. His career spans engineering, banking

and public service.
