The two players will meet again on the pitch on Saturday when the representatives of Asia and Africa contest the final at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Rabat. Kick-off is scheduled for 18:30 local time.

Japan won the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in 2014 and finished as runners-up in 2010 and 2016. They booked their place in the decider by overcoming defending champions DPR Korea on penalties, following a 1-1 draw in the first semi-final.

Nigeria have already made history by becoming the first African nation to reach the final of the competition. Their previous best finish was third place in 2022, and they secured their spot in the showpiece match with an impressive 3-1 victory over Brazil in the second semi-final.

Earlier on Saturday, fans will also have the opportunity to watch the bronze final match between DPR Korea and Brazil, which gets under way at 15:00 local time.

Supporters are encouraged to secure their place in the stands for both matches. Tickets may be purchased from FIFA.com/tickets, subject to availability.
