The Executive Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun has revealed the motive which culminated his presence at the Waleemat an-Neekah of the son of Kafilat Ogbara, the Honourable Federal Lawmaker representing Kosofe Federal Constituency at the green chamber of the National Assembly.
Newsconnect reports that Abiodun in his response to journalists at the event after Sharia Court of appeal has issued marriage certificate to the new couples said the outstanding attributes of groom's mother honourable Kafilat Ogbara predicated why he came to witness the union.
In his own words,
"I have come on behalf of my family and the entire government of Ogun State to be a witness to this Union that is being consummated here today and to also join the family in praying for the couples, that as the God almighty has joined the family together, will keep them joined together for the rest of their lives.
"They will enjoy their matrimony in happiness, this union will be blessed with children children.
"I choose to come because of the person of Honourable Kafilat Ogbara. She is a very tenacious, experienced , dependable, loyal , consistent and reliable Politician and friend.
"At a few times like this, you show someone how much they are appreciated. To decide to come as a witness here at this celebration, I have come to celebrate with her and the family, solidarize with her that God has given her the grace, to see her son get married. God will continue to give Ogbara and her well wishers reasons to celebrate in their families". He said
Dignitaries that witnessed the Neekah ceremony include Vice President Kasim Shettima, Her Excellency Dr, Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, Governor Dapo Abiodun, Pa Tajudeen Olusi, Senator Tokunbo Abiru, Senator Ganiu Solomon, Senator Olorunnibe Mamora, Senator Kingsley Ogunlewe, Senator Idiat Adebule, Honourable Jimi Benson, Honourable Jokomba, Oba Elegushi, Tunde Balogun, Agoro among others.
Honourable Kafilat Ogbara, appreciated all rank and files that graced her auspicious occasion.
In an interview with journalists at the event , she said;
"Alihamdulilah, I give all the glory to almighty Allah for making this day possible. My son Abdul Basit got married to Rabiah. We are blessed to have the President of Federal Republic of Nigeria ably represented by the Vice President Alhaji Kassim Shettima. Of course my Governor was represented by his wife and the Governor of Ogun State. A lot of other well meaning Nigerians, Ministers, Senators, National Assembly members, and everybody all came. Am so elated and humbled and I thank Almighty Allah for making this day a glorious day". She said.
